Shadow of Camelot
A walking library of legends
Above all, Abbot Bertrand loves the spinning of tales. Stories are his passion, his life, and his work. Indeed, on more than one occasion, he and King Osric have had arguments about the value of preserving pagan mythology. Bertrand does not distinguish between the everyday, the likely, and the fantastical. His collection of stories stretches farther back into British history than anywhere else on the Isle. He is always looking to add to the collection, and, so long are you make yourself useful to him, he will share all he knows with you.
While many say he was a small boy in the days of King Arthur, he lays no such claims. He appears to be one of the oldest men in the country, but he has very little interest in telling stories about himself.
